General Information
AllSail is a yacht rental marketplace that connects boat owners with guests looking for sailing experiences. You can browse thousands of boats across the Mediterranean and beyond, compare prices, and book directly through the platform.
It depends on the charter type. Bareboat charters require a valid sailing license (ICC or equivalent). If you don't have one, choose a crewed charter and a professional captain will handle the sailing for you.
We have sailboats, motorboats, catamarans, gulets, and more. You can filter by boat type, number of guests, price range, and amenities to find exactly what you need.
AllSail lists boats across Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Spain, and many other Mediterranean and worldwide destinations. Use the search bar or browse the destinations page to see what's available in your area of interest.
The platform is available in English and Turkish. Boat descriptions and communication with owners may also be available in other languages depending on the partner.
You can reach us through the contact page on the website. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours on business days.
Booking & Payment
Find a boat you like, pick your dates, and send an inquiry. The boat owner will review your request and respond with availability. Once you accept their offer, you'll be directed to a secure payment page. Some boats also support instant booking, so you can pay right away without waiting.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. You can pay with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other major credit or debit cards. We do not accept bank transfers or cash payments.
The full amount is charged immediately when you complete the payment. There is no pre-authorization or delayed capture. Your booking is confirmed as soon as the payment goes through.
Yes. After you send an inquiry, the boat owner can make a counter-offer with a different price, dates, or even suggest a different boat from their fleet. You can go back and forth until you reach an agreement.
Absolutely. Payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI Level 1 certified payment processor. AllSail never stores your card details. All transactions are encrypted end-to-end.
The price you see on the listing includes the base rental fee. Extras like fuel, crew gratuity, marina fees, or optional equipment are shown separately during checkout so there are no surprises. All prices are tax-inclusive.
Each boat is listed in the currency set by the owner (EUR, USD, GBP, TRY, etc.). You'll see prices in the boat's native currency at checkout. Your bank may apply its own exchange rate if your card currency differs.
Cancellation & Refunds
Yes, but the refund depends on the boat's cancellation policy. Each boat has one of three tiers: Flexible (free cancellation up to 48 hours before the trip), Moderate (up to 14 days before), or Strict (up to 30 days before). The applicable policy is shown on the boat listing and during checkout.
If you cancel within the free cancellation window, a full refund is processed back to your original payment method via Stripe. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.
If the boat owner cancels your confirmed booking, you receive a full refund regardless of the cancellation policy. We'll also help you find an alternative boat for the same dates if available.
Date changes need to be arranged directly with the boat owner through the messaging system. If the owner agrees to new dates, a new offer will be issued. If there's a price difference, you'll be asked to pay or receive a refund accordingly.
Weather-related cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, most owners will offer alternative dates. Contact the boat owner as early as possible, and reach out to our support team if you need help resolving the situation.
Partial refunds are possible in specific situations, such as cutting a trip short due to boat mechanical issues. These are handled by our support team on a case-by-case basis after reviewing the circumstances.
Boats & Equipment
Standard inclusions vary by boat but typically cover the vessel itself, basic safety equipment (life jackets, fire extinguisher, first aid kit), and navigation instruments. Optional extras like bed linens, towels, snorkeling gear, or water toys are listed separately on each boat page.
A bareboat charter means you sail the boat yourself and need a valid sailing license. A crewed charter comes with a captain (and sometimes additional crew) who handles navigation, safety, and often local knowledge about the best spots to visit.
Each boat listing includes photos, specifications, and build year. After your trip, you can leave a review that helps future guests. Check the boat's average rating and recent reviews before booking to get a realistic picture.
Pet policies are set by each boat owner individually. Check the boat listing for pet-related information, or ask the owner directly through the messaging system before booking.
Contact the boat owner immediately through the in-app messaging system. For urgent situations (engine failure, safety concerns), follow the emergency procedures provided during check-in. Normal wear and tear is the owner's responsibility, but damage caused by negligence may result in a security deposit claim.
Check-in and check-out details are shared once your booking is confirmed. For weekly charters, check-in is typically in the afternoon (around 16:00) and check-out is in the morning (around 09:00). Daily and hourly rentals have more flexible timing arranged with the owner.
Safety & Insurance
Yes, all boats listed on AllSail are required to have valid insurance coverage. The specific coverage details (hull insurance, third-party liability, etc.) vary by owner and jurisdiction. Ask the boat owner about insurance details before your trip.
Many boats require a security deposit, which is handled directly between you and the boat owner at check-in. The deposit amount is listed on the boat page. It's typically returned in full at check-out if no damage is found.
All boats must carry mandatory safety equipment: life jackets for all passengers, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and navigation lights at minimum. Many boats also have GPS, VHF radio, and radar. The full equipment list is shown on each boat's detail page.
Stay calm and contact the coast guard on VHF channel 16 (the international distress frequency). Also notify the boat owner immediately. Before departure, make sure you know the location of all safety equipment and have reviewed the emergency procedures provided during check-in.
Normal wear and tear is the owner's responsibility. However, damage caused by negligence, improper use, or violation of the rental agreement may result in deductions from your security deposit or additional charges. Document the boat's condition at check-in and check-out.
